A woman asked for a meeting with Bishop Aynaki Moksi in Bujumbura, Burundi. She introduced herself using the title of Bishop. That was a surprise, because you just don’t hear of a woman calling herself Bishop. Although that title has different meanings in different cultures, in Africa it means church planter or an overseer of many churches.
This woman has such a committed heart for the Lord and determination to see churches planted. However, she was running into so many problems that she was ready to quit. Bishop Moksi wanted to encourage her, so he gave her a copy of SHARE Evangelism. He asked her to read it and report back. She read it several times and came back encouraged and ready to start again in a new way. And what a new way it was!
She said, “This is for women too. The men put it into practice, but now they have to share it with the women.” Her desire is to work with Bishop Moksi. Every time he teaches in the Bible School, she wants to teach SHARE Evangelism to the women. SHARE started with women in the Philippines and now it has come all the way around to include the women with the men. What a joy to see such expansion and recognition that SHARE Evangelism is for all Christians to use in service to the Lord. Let’s pray for her as she opens herself to this new ministry for her.
